Helene Zimnes, DMD

"It is a pleasure to work in a profession in which I have the opportunity to meet so many interesting people every day. I enjoy helping people by either relieving their dental discomfort or by creating the beautiful smile they have always wanted, which also helps to improve their overall health."

Education

Dr. Zimnes received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Minor in Psychology graduating from The College of New Jersey in 1990. She then went on to become a licensed hygienist, graduating hygiene school at the top of the class and with highest honors. She was honored with the Frank M. Chambers Award for academic achievement.

After graduating from hygiene school, Dr. Zimnes immediately went into dental school. She graduated with honors as a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1997. She was a member of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, and received the Certificate of Merit for Achievement in Oral Medicine awarded by the American Academy of Oral Medicine.

Continuing Education

Dentistry is constantly evolving and Dr. Zimnes is always keeping herself current on new technology and materials with continuing education courses, seminars and hands–on lectures. This education will help her offer patients the latest and most advanced dental treatment options.

Professional Experience

Dr. Zimnes has worked in the dental field for 20 years and enjoys the aesthetic aspect of her profession. She finds it very rewarding to help an individual change their appearance, and help them improve their self-esteem. Dentistry allows Dr. Zimnes to combine health and education with art and creativity. She enjoys helping patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles in a comfortable, caring environment.

Family Life

Dr. Zimnes grew up in Bordentown, New Jersey and the majority of her family still resides there. Their love of the beach brought her along with her husband to the Jersey Shore area. They have lived there for the last 10 years and started their family. Dr. Zimnes and her family can often be seen enjoying outdoor activities locally. Fitness and health are not only a hobby, but have become a very important part of their lives. She also enjoys cooking and going to the beach with her family.
